Even though I don’t wear black anymore: Bottega Veneta

It’s true, it’s been months since I wore my signature total look, which was always head-to-toe in black. It’s very hard not to wear it anymore, but I think I’m holding up very nicely so far :-)

botttega Veneta has always been one of my favorites, I think it’s in my top 3 for a long time now. Their yesterday fashion show was one of a kind, as usual, with lots of black total looks, black leather and very little color. The designs, as always, are divine and perfect. Never disappointing. I should also upload some of their new summer sunglasses which are also gorgeous. I will, soon.

I hope you liked it!

Alberta Ferretti Fall 2010 RTW wins the title: Pretty!

Don’t forget who told you this first – Pastels  will be the hottest trend  this summer, and it couldn’t come at better timing as I’m on a strike from wearing black :-)

Speechless: Jil Sander Fall 2010 RTW

Gorgeous. There’s really no need of trends or anything else that tries to create something new. It’s clean, it’s basic, and it works so well.

New column in a new initiative of Haaretz

Galeria of Haaretz now has a new back page, Monday to Thursday. It’s all about little items, funny and light, with our recommendations – for anything from gadgets to toys, jokes to fashion items. I had the honor to be on the first back page with a recommendation to one of my favorite clutch bags, made by Sumka Bags. Here’s my recommendation, and I already wrote a couple more so there will be more to follow this one:

Here are some picks of their bags and belts that I liked most:

[disclaimer: I do NOT work for them in any way, I just really like them :-) ]

And this is the one I have – in silver-gray:

Isn’t it all so cool and pretty? I love it all.

I hope you enjoyed it,

Fashion events are piling up!

Here’s my list of events, that changes and grows bigger as I blog here…

I start tomorrow morning with sunglasses presentation of all the big designers for the summer collections for 2010. I hope to find something nice for myself there too, but only if it looks better than my black Chanel’s.

I will take pictures there for sure to post here afterwards.

Tomorrow night is the big Castro launch of their limited Alice In Wonderland collection, so they are throwing a closed party for it. Here’s a beautiful video I got, attached to my invitation, you must see this one, it’s art!

Credit goes to Sunny Side Up Productions and EPW Media. Thanks to my friend Michal Ronel from http://epw-media.com/ for sharing it with me :-)

And then comes Thursday night – and the big private premiere of The September Issue, it’s about time it’ll come to Israel :-) So there’s a big event with many celebrities, models, designers and press. Here’s a trailer for all of you who have already seen this movie or haven’t yet:

And here’s the post I wrote quite a while ago after watching the movie in New York – here.

I also got the most perfect Valentine’s Day present from my boyfriend – a web camera I can take videos with and upload them directly to YouTube, so I’m going to take videos of everything from now on :-) Most importantly – this camera fits all of my clutch bags, so no excuses…

Stay tuned,

My weekend shopping

Well, there’s nothing like great shopping spree with my girlfriends, with quality coffee break and major catching up. Especially when it’s semi-summer here in TLV, even in the middle of February :-)
As I also write the sales column now (see previous posts), I’m well aware of all the really interesting sales around town. I took my friends to a private show room yesterday, packed with vintage designers items, which were all on 15% discount! It doesn’t sound like much, but when you buy Issey Miake, Chanel and Dior, all new and vintage, it’s a lot!
I was really biting my tongue there, trying not to over spend or just treat the place as a museum ;-) but couldn’t resist a gorgeous vintage Eli Tahari belt. It was super expensive, but it’s so pretty, I just couldn’t resist myself. I even tried to imagine how my weekend will look if I give it up, and just couldn’t face the upcoming consequences – I saw one unhappy girl there – so I bought it. Here it is:

My friends got wonderful dresses and a bag, and then we were on our way for a little breakfast. A short while after zipping and chatting, one of my friends had to leave, and I came up with the idea of “let’s just walk nearby and see what’s around”, so we both did, knowing this walkabout will probably have its price tags soon, in plural of course.
We “somehow” got to a boutique I always buy in, which I knew my friend would love, as we share a very similar style. 2 beautiful tops, 1 dress and earrings later for me, and a pile of gorgeous stuff for her, we swore to get together over coffee next time or we’ll be haunted by our bank managers for good :-D
Here’s what I got there:

blue sateen top

Asymmetric white T with black printing

dotted dark orange tunic/dress

And earrings -

Great shopping, ha? Though I got to admit it – there’s nothing like that belt. It’s amazing.

Happy!

Lee Cooper Spring/Summer fashion show

This time I got great pictures and videos, taken from the front row. It was a great, fun show, well put together and very well organized.

All the videos bellow are mine, and the first 18 pictures are mine. All the rest, and it’ll be very easy to tell the difference, were sent to me by Hila Rahav of Ran Rahav PR agency, and were taken by Sivan Faraj.

I would love to read your comments on this show, so feel free to share them here :-)

[20/02 - updating - I forgot to upload the Finale! sorry, here it is:]

and now – to the last one ! I hope you liked it all.
