Karl’s “Mysterious new project”

So Karl Lagerfeld is working on a new “Mysterious and unusual” project, so he says. I feel like he is always up to something and it’s always fascinating. Here is a video where he introduces his new secret, without saying anything too revealing, of course. It looks like it has something to do with furniture. Hmmm. Here’s the Karl way of saying a lot and not saying much at the same time:

Dare to be Bold: Dior Homme

(photos: style.com)
Looking at the Spring 2013 Dior Homme runway made me sense some very strict classic rules: It is mostly in light navy blue, a little bit of grey, black and tiny bits of red. It is very tailored, even the most casual pieces in it are super done and elegant. I loved it. AND I loved it 10x more when I saw the video Dior made for it, and not because of the clothes. It is very different, bold, and daring. Completely out of Dior Homme strict elegant rules yet very chic and emphasises the young rebellious Dior Homme man. Watch it here:

Bringing Sexy Back – Saint Laurent / SS13 part II

How would you combine layback, sexy, teasing, nonchalance, chicness and beauty all in one video? How would you divide the percentage of each ingredient for it to turn out perfect?
Saint Laurent did it in their second part video for the 2013 spring/summer collection ad campaign.
Is it the music? The hair? The clothes?
I think it’s in the accuracy of the outcome. It’s here for you to judge, followed by the previous parts of it:

Saint Laurent Introduction Campaign

I didn’t like the first part. The introduction one was quite shocking, especially because it meant that I had to deal and get used to the new name. I mean – I was born in the very early 80s. For me it’s Yves Saint Laurent and that is that. I’m trying, really, I do…

Repetto RTW

Confession: I wore ballerina flats for years and years. I didn’t mind the brand, just the shape, quality and color of course. A few years back I was introduced to Repetto, which makes the most perfect ballerina flats, and easily got addicted to them. I still wear them, even my oldest pairs, and I think that time only makes them look better and better, so I fall in love with them even more. When I wear them, it’s quite a personal experience I have with myself – they remind me so much of my years as a ballet dancer, and make me feel very much like myself. It’s true love, really.

I recently heard that Repetto are starting a ready-to-wear line. These kind of news easily interpret themselves in my head to “I want and I don’t even need to see it first.”

Then I went online to see some images and yes, what a surprise, I still want it all.

This super French chic video tells it all. This collections is the sweetest but not too sticky, stylish but not too trendy, and most comfortable and simple collection out there at the moment. You can see more looks here at Repetto website.

My day in fashion – pics

While waiting for my cab to pick me up to a fashion preview, I took these:

The beautiful tree below my window

The window of my favorite vintage gallery:

Gallerie Parisienne window

The sidewalk. A typical Tel Avivian sidewalk:

At the fashion preview, I couldn’t help myself and took some feet pictures, mostly of the shoes my colleagues were wearing, and of the beautiful poster on the wall, and my favorite sweater from that collection, by Yossi Katzav:

And last, the sweater, hanged on a hanger on the side, just like that:

2 Minutes, 26 Seconds With Ann Demeulemeester in Collaboration With A Magazine

It’s fashion, exactly the way I love it. Done stunningly. Just another crossroad where fashion meets art, always takes my breath away.
