Fresh from my inspiration folder

Last week has been crazy for me. I was working and running around like all the time. I didn’t really have any time to go through new things, read or browse anywhere. I briefly went through my favorite sites and magazines on my iPad on the go, and collected the photos I liked best for a post. I’m always looking for new fashion inspiration, it’s like an endless hunger to see and have new things. Here are my totally random picks -

The Importance of Free Fashion Press

In the age when physically attending fashion shows is almost irrelevant, with brilliant iPad applications such as style.com and others, I feel like reconsidering our work habits and lifestyles is in due.

In the past few weeks, SHOWStudio by Nick Knight were doing just the same, and took it to the next level. Instead of actually running between the shows, hitting traffic again and again and being almost late for a 10 minutes show at a time, they decided to do something different, and to my opinion – a whole lot better.

They’ve sat down together, at the comfort of a long semi-dining table, and watched the shows online in realtime, together. They have discussed the collections as they watched it, and filmed it on video for the SHOWStudio website.

Again, I think it’s awesome. Here is an example for you: For the Louis Vuitton SS13 show, they’ve sat down with Nick Knight, Daphne Guinness, fashion author Camilla Morton and others. For a little more than an hour, they discussed the show in particular and fashion, uncut and unedited.

Business Of Fashion thoroughly discussed this amazing development in the way we consume fashion two days ago, read more about it here.

Can you feel the magic? New times are coming. Right now!

I almost had enough of Louis Vuitton for this week. After writing about him for the newspaper twice this week, peeking at his exhibitions in Montreal and Beijing by emails I get from PR, now this. Yeah, the weekend couldn’t come any sooner :-)

Angelina Jolie’s campaign for Louis Vuitton

“Core Values” campaign by Louis Vuitton is out today. Shot by Annie Leibovitz in Cambodia and features Angelina Jolie, who looks like she is feeling right at home. “Core Values” series of campaigns by Louis Vuitton is more about quality, travel and the brand’s values rather then the clothes.

Here is the picture sent by the Louis Vuitton PR this morning:
