The Perfect Winter Ankle Boots

In the middle of work BUT I just saw these on Acne Facebook page and I died a little. Aren’t these the most perfect ankle boots in the world?

It says that they are now back in stock, so you can get them here. I’m in love.

Repetto RTW

Confession: I wore ballerina flats for years and years. I didn’t mind the brand, just the shape, quality and color of course. A few years back I was introduced to Repetto, which makes the most perfect ballerina flats, and easily got addicted to them. I still wear them, even my oldest pairs, and I think that time only makes them look better and better, so I fall in love with them even more. When I wear them, it’s quite a personal experience I have with myself – they remind me so much of my years as a ballet dancer, and make me feel very much like myself. It’s true love, really.

I recently heard that Repetto are starting a ready-to-wear line. These kind of news easily interpret themselves in my head to “I want and I don’t even need to see it first.”

Then I went online to see some images and yes, what a surprise, I still want it all.

This super French chic video tells it all. This collections is the sweetest but not too sticky, stylish but not too trendy, and most comfortable and simple collection out there at the moment. You can see more looks here at Repetto website.

Fall Shoes – the tricky game

Going back to Asos.com to try and solve a major upcoming problem – fall shoes. Why is it a problem? Fall is probably the trickest time in the year when it comes to shoes. You can’t wear sandals all the way to winter, and you can’t wear suede loafers when the first rain starts. On the other side, you can’t go all the way to winter shoes and wear over-the-knee boots in October. I mean, no one says you can’t but it’s just another unwritten fashion rule. Lord knows, there are so many of those.

Asos always has a huge range of styles, from classics to super trendy shoes. For fall, I would try to keep it simple and not too expensive, as riding boots and winter shoes tend to get very expensive when you need them, which is, soon.

Here are my recommendations for fall shoes by Asos. If you wish to purchase or read more about each shoe here, simply click on the image:

God Save My Shoes

As for someone who literally sleeps in her walk-in closet (I swear there’s a bed in there somewhere!), this trailer made me sit back and relax thinking, “I am not alone” :-D

I was about to blog about my Thursday outfit but this video just landed in my inbox so I just had to have it here. Can’t wait to watch this movie, I have a feeling that it’s going to feel like 3 hours in a row of therapy, or a 3 days yoga retreat in the mountains :)

For the love of shoes,

A new batch of Little Black Dresses

I can’t have enough of those. I’m serious, I wear them all again and again. They are the safest items in my closet. I gathered a few looks here, just for fun. If you wish to buy any of the items, just click on the images or the links!

This one is just $80 and it’s from Asos. I’m pretty sure anyone can pull  this one off, it’s a classic!

This one is even cheaper, only $31, and it is perfect for spring time, it’s pretty covered:

I’d break the black seriousness with a neon piece, maybe like this orange clutch from Asos? It’s $62 and can be matched to so many summer outfits, looks like a win-win:

And my favorite – this 50s midi black dress. It is perfect. I really like it, it looks great both for daytime and evening. It is also good for a huge dinner, there is a lot of space to fill in ;-)

Now let’s get to the yummy part. The shoes. Let’s face it, it’s never about the dress. It’s always about the shoes. My options this week include Roger Vivier, Christian Louboutin, and one neon surprise from Carven:

Two black options – Loubies and Viviers:

One cage sandals from Louboutin that will match any skinny jeans I have too:

And last neon option are this fabulous yellow pumps by Carven:

That is it for playing shopping today! Until later -

Fab Find of the Day: 3.1 Phillip Lim Lim-Rae Flats

I’m thinking: with jeans, leather pants and leggings. And maybe a 3.1 Phillip Lim gorgeous huge bag too? I wish. I really do love his bags… but these shoes come first. They are also reasonably priced:

Monday, Nov 7th 2011

It was so cold to get out of bed this morning. I guess it’s the only thing I really don’t like about winter. Mornings are just so difficult.

I had to run to Hugo Boss new store opening, early in the am, before a long day at the office. I had no time to wake up slowly so I did everything, running. I’m sure I’ll be shocked to find my apartment a mess tonight when I come back, I just had no time to organize everything neatly, like I always do. Please forgive me, home.

Running down the elevator, I took this one:

While waiting for the car to come and take me there, I had a minute to check out these vintage loafers and Valentino scarf in the window of Galerie Parisienne, the vintage store I love and happen to be located in my building.

Good morning Mr. Valentino

Hugo Boss new store in Tel-Aviv reminded me how much I love the one in SoHo in NYC. The atmosphere is always a little dark and clean. It’s very good for me to start my day with. No flashes, not too much light, there’s always nice coffee around, and it was almost an intimate preview. No complaints.

I saw these great men’s loafers. I think they are classic and look so comfortable. I’d recommend them to any guy, from casual wear to a business meeting or dinner. I love them with jeans as much as with a suit. It works!

Of course I went browsing the men section upstairs. The women’s collection is great too, but I love imagining all the men clothes I can personally find my feminine way to wear.

And before I knew it, I was back in the car. So happy it waited outside for me and not the opposite way around. I’ve been feeling a little under the weather lately and really have to watch out and not to get a flu. It feels like it’s around the corner, waiting to get to me. No!

By the way, blogging from the car rock. It’s multi-tasking at its best for me. Thank you WordPress for your iPhone app :-)

Hilla Ohayon.
