tom ford

It’s about Tom Ford, NOT Justin Timberlake

Hands down.

Tom Ford
Even if you are not a big fan of JT, you need to watch this video. Put it on mute for all I care. I mean, how many times in your lives do you get to see the ultimate most perfect suit on a man who, how will I say it, hmm. wears it so well?
Tom Ford made it. Obviously. Watch:

Now, admit it. You danced.

The World of Tom Ford

Tom Ford has a very distinguished and well defined world when it comes to style, and more specifically when it comes to women. A woman, in TF’s terms, has to be flawless 24/7, almost perfect and always dressed up and put together for a glamorous day and night. Yet, there’s always something about her that is different. Mysterious? Enigmatic? Yes, and then some.

This video, recently launched by Tom Ford, pretty much explains it all. Up for the challenge?

Not me. I’m too of a tomboy for these strict definitions. I love my Converse days too much to give them up. Yet, it’s always inspiring to observe such a well built concept when it comes to fashion and design. Not so many others have it so well put together.

Tom Ford SS13

Is it ok to say that I am terribly disappointed?
I am, then.
It’s too… Italian. Too Versace. Almost Cavalli even.
I wouldn’t use these harsh names or words if I wasn’t such a huge fan of Tom Ford’s previous work, of all his eras. He was a great example of accuracy, elegance and femininity. Not this time, or at least not to me.
I chose two looks that I did like, but only specific parts of them – that leather jacket and the shoes and the bag on the other photo. That’s it -

The video of the collection, on the other hand, is pure fun. Very sexy, almost humorous. I liked its rhythm. Watch the entire collection here:

Tom Ford Womenswear Fall/Winter 2012/13 Collection

You know I think Tom Ford is a genius. Everything he does and actually everything about him is magic. His Fall/Winter 2012/13 collection is up on a new video out today. Just saw it, and there is absolutely nothing there that I wouldn’t wear, head to toe: The sunglasses, the dresses, the coats, the shoes – everything. Watch it here:

Lara Stone stars Tom Ford’s new ad camapign

Tom Ford is seriously everything. He is a genius when it comes to women. I sometimes think he understands them even better than they do themselves.

When I heard that he is going into makeup and starting a line of his own, my first thought was – hmm he might be good as Chanel – and I never think that way on any other brand. Chanel cosmetics is simply the best.

Lara Stone was chosen to feature his new campaign. She looks amazing! I have to admit it that when it comes to the little details of it, I’m not a huge fan of the colors and shades. I’m a classic red lipstick kind of girl. But we shall see…

Tom Ford Spring/Summer 2011 Womenswear – video

Here’s the show I played in my imagination for way too long. Finally, it’s out on Youtube this morning. At last!

It’s everything I expected it to be and more. Knowing the outfits by heart already, all I was missing was seeing them in motion. It’s perfect, just as I expected it to be. Sit back, watch it here and enjoy!

Tom Ford

I personally wanna thank you for this collection. Thanks for reminding this world what brilliance is all about. No less than brilliant! And while I’m at it – Yes, I’d wear each and every piece of this collection. Many times. For many years.
Oh, and that jacket? Yes, please. My birthday is Jan 22nd. I’ll be in NYC, probably. No need to ship overseas. I’m THAT nice!

Now enough with the dreams. Just watch. And dream a little more:

To die for. I know.
